Love at first sight!!! 💛🍋
I’ve tried many types of body butter before, but this brand truly stands out. The texture is beautiful and absorbs into the skin without leaving any greasy or oily feeling ✨ Even though it’s fragrance-free, the natural aroma from the lemon seeds is so refreshing, almost like wearing a light perfume 🍋.
It honestly does a better job than most moisturizers I’ve tried in helping my skin survive the harsh winter months in the U.S. ❄️ I’ve been using it both in the morning and before bed, and my skin feels soft, nourished, and rejuvenated throughout the day ✨💛
This raw, unrefined cocoa butter is fantastic if you enjoy making your own skincare products! I mixed it with shea butter to make a whipped body butter, and it turned out beautifully.I was a little concerned about ordering cocoa butter during the summer, but it arrived in perfect condition. It was double vacuum-sealed and packaged in an insulated mailer, so melting or leaking wasn’t an issue at all.Since it’s raw and unrefined, it has a rich, natural chocolate fragrance that is much stronger than refined cocoa butter. I personally love the scent, but it’s something to keep in mind if you’re expecting a milder fragrance. It melts easily when you’re ready to use it and whipped into a smooth, creamy consistency without any problems. The finished body butter feels incredibly moisturizing, and it absorbs nicely into my skin without feeling overly greasy. Living in the desert, I like to keep my whipped body butter in the refrigerator during the summer so it stays firm, and it feels especially refreshing after spending time in the sun.If you’re interested in homemade cosmetics or want to start making your own lotions, body butters, or lip balms, this is an excellent cocoa butter to work with. I would definitely recommend it!
Very nice coco butter. It works nice in my butters
Overview: A 35oz bulk block of raw, unrefined cocoa butter sourced from Kerala, offering a natural moisturizer with good value for DIY skincare use.I've tried this cocoa butter a few times in some homemade lotion bars, and it seems to be decent quality. It's unrefined, so it carries a strong natural cacao scent rather than the neutral smell you get from processed versions, and it hasn't been bleached or deodorized, which some people prefer for skin use. It's temperature sensitive, so it softened up on a warm day on the counter and firmed back up once I put it in the fridge, which is expected for something this minimally processed rather than a flaw.It appears to be made of good quality raw ingredients, and it melted down smoothly in a double boiler without any grainy texture left behind. A little goes a long way, since it's fairly dense and rich, so this 35 ounce block should last through several batches of whatever you're making, whether that's lotion, lip balm, or just rubbing a small amount directly on dry skin 🧴 For the price, this is solid value considering how much product you're getting in bulk. My advice is to store it in a cool spot if you're not using it right away, since it softens fast once room temperature climbs 🌿
I bought this 35 oz block of ETHERVA Raw Cocoa Butter for homemade lotion recipes. This unrefined fat holds up well for moisturizing facial application and works fine for soap making without added fillers. The simple ingredients list includes pure cocoa seed butter with no sneaky chemical additives. The product carries a rich cacao fragrance rather than being fragrance-free, giving your body creams a soft chocolate scent naturally. While it arrives as a firm block, ease of use is straightforward since warming the block between your hands or melting it down softens the texture quickly.Etherva is a reputable brand that sources ethically from rural cooperatives in Kerala, India. At $1.49 per ounce, it offers fair value for money when compared to small retail tubs, though specialized bulk craft suppliers sometimes offer lower rates per pound for larger orders.
I've never used raw cocoa butter, so I was pleasantly surprised when trying this. The stick comes vacuum-sealed within another bag, which I appreciate. The distributor did a great job ensuring that the block stayed intact during transit and was free of any external elements getting inside.Upon opening the bag I was surprised by the chocolate notes. Of course, the smell makes sense given that it's raw cocoa butter. But I was so used to using scented cocoa butters that the chocolate-y notes were a pleasant surprise to me. The block arrives as one solid piece, and depending on the temperature its subjected to it can either be solid and rigid or very loose and pliable.Although this cocoa butter can be used as is, it seems like a great foundation to add scents to and customize as you see fit. I doubt I'll go down this path with it, but I appreciate the versatility it offers. For me, I'll be content to just use it as it is and leave a nice, chocolate-y scent wherever I go.
I think this is a very good quality cocoa butter. The large 35 oz block is great especially if you are into making your own lotions, body butters, and things like that. It arrived well packaged. It was vacuum sealed which is great because it really helps to keep it nice and fresh. The aroma is light and not as strong as you might be used to if you have never had experience with unrefined and non-deodorized coco butter. It is exactly as it should be with pure clean coco butter. It melts smoothly with gentle heat. I love blending it with essential oils. I've been using it to make homemade body butter. It leaves my skin feeling nourished and moisturized. It is priced at $65 but is on sale right now for $52 and I think that is a wonderful value.
I have not opened the package yet as I’m not ready to use it yet. However, there is absolutely no scent and I can smell scents through the vacuum seal. It melts easily when rubbed with my hand. Very good value for the quality. 100% Pure cocoa butter.
I’m thrilled with this large brick of cacao butter. For starters, I love that it’s pure with no added ingredients and no additional processing, and I appreciate knowing where it is from. The scent is subtle yet pleasant, as I expect from a product like this one. The consistency definitely varies with temperature, and as mine was delivered to (and sit for hours in) a metal parcel box in the desert sun rather than my front porch part of it liquified and one end lost its nice tidy brick shape. The cacao butter is double-bagged which makes it easier to prevent making a mess when I take some out. The texture is a thick cream like a standard body butter. I can use some straight out of the package on my skin and it leaves my skin feeling moisturized without being oily. I can also easily transfer some to another container to mix with other ingredients and gift to a friend or place in my bathroom or on my nightstand. This product is very impressive and I recommend it.
This is nice cocoa butter, especially if you are using it for DIY body butter, soap, or skincare projects. It has that real cocoa smell, so just know it is not deodorized or scent free. The texture is firm at room temperature but melts down easily when warmed up. It feels rich and moisturizing, and a little goes a long way once you actually get it worked in. My only thing is that it can be a little messy to portion out since it is such a solid block, but that is pretty normal for raw cocoa butter. Good product if you know what you are getting.
I needed a good moisturizer for my skin and decided to try this product. I hoped it would help with dry patches I had. This cocoa butter works really well for keeping my skin hydrated. It has a nice, natural scent that I enjoy. I used it on my hands and feet and noticed they felt softer after just a few uses. I like that it is unrefined and feels natural. It can melt easily when warmed up, which makes it easy to apply. I appreciate that it comes from a cooperative as it adds a nice touch of ethical sourcing. The only downside is its temperature sensitivity; it can be a bit tricky to use if the weather is too warm or cold. It sometimes takes extra effort to liquify before I can use it, which can be a hassle.Pros:- Hydrates skin well- Ethically sourced- Natural scentCons:- Temperature sensitive- Needs warming sometimes
I ordered this ETHERVA Unrefined Cocoa Butter specifically for making my own body care products, and it has been exactly what I was looking for.The large 35-ounce block provides plenty to work with, making it an excellent value for anyone who enjoys DIY skincare.Since this is truly unrefined cocoa butter, it has a rich natural cocoa aroma that lets you know it hasn’t been overly processed. It melts down nicely and blends well with other ingredients. My plan is to melt it, combine it with other nourishing ingredients, and pour it into small silicone molds to create individual lotion bars and body butter treats that are easy to use or give as gifts.I also appreciate that it comes in a solid block, allowing you to cut off only what you need for each batch. The quality feels excellent, and I like knowing it’s unrefined without unnecessary additives.Overall, this is a fantastic cocoa butter for homemade lotions, body butters, balms, soaps, and other DIY skincare projects.
I am very excited about this bulk 35-ounce jar of raw cocoa butter because it is completely pure, unrefined, and non-deodorized. Cocoa butter is so moisturizing and I am always looking for products that contain it. This will be great for small-batch crafting as it is so versatile.I plan on using it to make whipped body butters by mixing it with shea butter and jojoba oil, as well as lip balms and other self care items. I also plan on making my own bath soak by mixing it with milk and a few other ingredients. If you enjoy formulating your own chemical-free, plant-based beauty treatments, this bulk size is an absolute must-have and I feel like it will last forever with the size of it!
This ETHERVA raw cocoa butter offers exceptional quality for anyone prioritizing pure, minimally processed skincare ingredients. The moment I opened the container, the natural aroma of cacao was pleasant and smelled exactly like rich chocolate, which stands out compared to other cocoa butter products that lack a distinct scent. The product arrives securely double shrink-wrapped, clean, and well-presented with a natural, holistic label style. Even though it is a solid fat, I easily emulsified a small piece by rubbing it vigorously between my hands, and it melted smoothly right into my skin. The final application has a silky consistency that is deeply moisturizing and nourishing without leaving any greasy residue. The formula provides excellent versatility for a variety of personal care applications. It will make a wonderful base for cold-weather body butters blended with vanilla oils, though it functions well on its own as a direct moisturizer. Because of its clean composition, you can easily use it to formulate DIY hair conditioners, shave butters, standard lotions, or gentle face and eye creams. This high level of versatility means a single jar can replace multiple separate commercial products. The current price of $64.99 for a 35-ounce container matches the premium quality. Cheap, mass-produced alternatives are typically deodorized and chemically bleached, which strips out the natural antioxidants and rich aromas present in this raw version. Because this brand works directly with rural cooperatives to source clean, unadulterated ingredients, you are paying for true purity and ethical production. The physical consistency and multi-use versatility make it a great value. I am giving this product 5 stars.
This block of unrefined cocoa butter came vacuum sealed. When I cut opened the plastic, the perfume of chocolate came right out, it smelled so good and made me want to eat some dark chocolate right away! LOL! There's only one ingredient in this - cocoa butter, and nothing else. It is greasy since it's cocoa butter, but it's absorbed into my skin quickly and made my skin feel so smooth and hydrated. Very easy to use if you're using it as is - the warmth of my hands was enough to melt it, or use it in homemade lipbalm, soap, body butter, etc. Really like this cocoa butter!
I couldn't be happier with this cocoa butter! The quality is excellent—it's truly unrefined, with a rich, natural cocoa aroma that lets you know it's the real deal. It melts easily and blends smoothly for homemade lotions, body butter, and other DIY skincare projects. The large 35-ounce block is a great value and should last a long time. It arrived well packaged and exactly as described. If you're looking for pure, high-quality cocoa butter without unnecessary additives, this is an excellent choice. I'll definitely be buying it again!
Wow! This is a big block of rich goodness! It smells like pure cocoa butter and it melts easily for DIY beauty products and skincare. I cut off a small piece to moisturize my feet after I did my pedicure and it made my feet feel smooth and soft. It didn’t leave a thick greasy residue and it feels lightweight and doesn’t just sit on top of the skin. You can use it for hair care as well so the versatility is endless! I didn’t experience any irritation and the moisture lasted all day, nice quality overall for a pure product!
This Etherva Cocoa Butter is truly unrefined and chemical free. I have used other cocoa butters before but this is pure cosmetic grade cocoa butter and I can really tell the difference.I have mature skin that tends to get very dry so this has worked so well for me. My body loves this stuff and it does wonders for my dry feet. I have used it by cutting straight from the block that starts as hard, brittle solid at room temperature but melts by rubbing in my hands, making it easy to apply and I also used it in my hair before washing as a deep conditioner for my ends. It’s smells so good, absorbs easily and feels so moisturizing and I haven’t had any skin irritation or blocked pores but I do only use a little amount on my face. This block is so big, I need to look up recipes to make some creams, conditioners and body butters with this.Yes, the huge block is pricey, but it’s so worth it. It will last a while, so versatile, you can make some wonderful DIY beauty products like whipped body butters, creams, and lip balms with it and you are getting premium unrefined cocoa butter with all the wonderful benefits, without any additives. I love it!!
This is excellent quality raw cocoa butter and exactly what I was hoping for. If you're looking for a truly unrefined product, this is it. It has a rich, natural cocoa aroma that lets you know it hasn't been overly processed or deodorized. I actually love the scent, and it's great to know you're getting the real thing. It melts easily when warmed, just as described, and works brilliantly in homemade body butters and other DIY skincare products. It also leaves my skin feeling deeply moisturized, soft, and smooth without any unnecessary additives. The large container offers excellent value, especially if you regularly make your own skincare products or use cocoa butter as an everyday moisturizer. I also appreciate the company's focus on ethically sourced ingredients and honest labeling. Overall, I'm extremely happy with this purchase and wouldn't hesitate to buy it again.
This is a really nice block of pure cocoa butter. I was looking to use it to make my own body butter and this is exactly what I needed. It’s a huge amount and also surprisingly affordable. I was able to combine it with my jojoba oil to make a nice whipped body butter than smells great and leaves our skin feeling soft an amazing. The smell is awesome, it leaves our skin feeling moisturized especially when whipped with a more liquid oil. There are plenty of uses for a solid block of pure cocoa butter and this block is a little easier to use than the chips I’ve seen before. It’s affordable and exactly what I expected.
Thank you for this Etherva Cocoa Butter blockOrdered to use in cosmetic preparations: soap making, conditioners, lotions, salves, and especially lip balmLiked:-unrefined! You can smell the cocoa flavor in the butter. There is also a rather smoky, 'natural product' smell, a bit like raw honeycomb that has been smoked to remove bees before refining. It will be perfect for my liquid soaps, but probably a bit much if used straight on skin and not diluted in a formula.-35 oz block is generous and will make a lot of products before needing to reorder-at room temperature, easy to cut the right amount for use with a sharp knife-carefully vacuum packed in double wrapping for freshness-lovely butter-yellow color adds richness to your products-can be applied straight for moisturizing lips, hands, feet, and other very dry areas, if you don't mind the unrefined odor-though unrefined, the cocoa butter is free of noticeable impuritiesCrafters, if you need an unrefined, luxurious, moisturizing cocoa butter for your projects, I recommend Etherva.
So I have sensitive skin and am a bit cautious about what I use on it. I tend to be a bit of a hippy in that I like simple formulas with whole ingredients (skipping the hard to pronounce chemicals). The natural choice is to make my own when I can.I love the smell of coco butter and the rich hydration it gives. With a good coco butter based lotion, after it absorbs it will make you feel like velvet. This coco butter is definitely pure. It does have raw characteristics... the texture isn't super smooth and the smell isn't quite a sweet as refined. However I think raw gives better deeper hydration. This butter has a faint choclate smell and is really hard at my standard indoor temperature of 76 degrees. It reminds me of the texture of a soft bar of soap. When scraped with a finger nail it comes off as a brittle sliver(like soap). However rub it between your palms and it melts and you can feel it become a rich oil texture. You won't want to use this directly as a lotion. This definitely is to be used as an ingredients. I plan on doing a simple 2 ingredient body butter with it. Mix this coco butter with an oil base (I'm thinking sweet almond as it's a 'dry' easily absorbed oil) . I'll melt the 2 down and combine while mixing. After completely mixed it can then be left to cool. It will harden back up a bit. If you then hit it with a hand mixer it will fluff up into an easier to work with body butter. I love this so much as I can also add in my own essential oil to customize it just for me. Clean hydration that smells just how I want it.I have to say I'm happy with this. It's a great price for a bit over 2 pounds of butter. It was impressively well sealed. Double sealed in vacuum sealed sturdy plastic. Its clean with excellent raw quality... and it will make so darn much body butter I'm going you have to share with friends. Really... LOVE.
This raw cocoa butter is very moisturizing. I used a small chip of it to wash my hands, and they are deeply moisturized and baby soft. It has a delicate chocolate scent.Pure: 100% pure, single ingredient: Only Theobroma Cacao Seed Butter, that's it, nothing added! It is non-deodorized and unbleached; the natural volatile oils, fatty acids, and antioxidants remain. It is loaded with stearic, oleic, and palmitic acids, which provide great deep moisturization and make the skin barrier strong. I really need a strong skin barrier; without it, I lose moisture, my skin becomes dry, and even flakes. Its natural antioxidants are anti-aging and protective of your skin. That is why I want to use it on my face, where my age shows the most. The block of raw cocoa butter is too heavy for me to comfortably lift every time I wanted to use is so I asked the part on the site called "Looking for Specific information" how to chop it into smaller pieces. It suggested to freeze it and then it will be easier to slice into smaller pieces. That works very well.
This is a huge brick of high-quality raw cocoa butter with a whisper of cocoa aroma. It's perfect if you like making your own lotions, body butters, lip balms, or soaps. It rubs in easily on your skin right off the block, which is perfect for making your own moisturizing skin products. A little goes a long way, and the large size makes it a great value for DIY skincare. I'll be getting a lot of projects out of this one. It's a soft yellow color, a little lighter than beeswax.
I can't get past the smell. I love kokum butter as an ingredient overall. I've used many brands and most are listed as unrefined. This is the only one I've used that has an odor. I personally would call it an odor, not a scent. I've used it in lotion and in butter bars. The lotion odor fades very quickly, even when used on my face. The butter bars are a bit stronger. However, to be fair, the end users of the lotions and bars don't notice this odor. They claim it smells earthy or similar to a soap. I bought a 2 pound pack and just finished it all for my Christmas spa gift bags. I have repurchased another brand for above reasons. All other qualities of this brand are wonderful and work well. Melting and emulsifying very well.
